Last year we went to New Mexico and loved the cuisine--we were told the good taste was from the 'Hatch chili'. When we got home, we searched for a source for a good Hatch chili, both locally and online. We found Berridge Farms and ordered 25 pounds of the medium Big Jims. We were a little apprehensive because the price last year was about $77 with shipping. This was $3 a pound!!!. We got them, roasted them, ate some and ordered another 25 pounds just prior to the season being over. These are the best chili's in the world!. We know that they are 'just Anaheim's', but, really, they are not. Being grown in Hatch imparts a distinct flavor to them, something we have never gotten any place else. We just ordered another 25 pounds for 2008. We did not order 50 pounds cause we have some left in the freezer. 37 pounds is about our yearly usage (2 people)
